More content is added constantly. I don't really see what it has to do with the exp rate tho. Since the more content we have for the lower lvls, the slower exp rate would suits to it.

I don't suppose that there is any way possible to give a player the option to turn off their experience gain, is there? That way, if people wish to stay at a certain level to take advantage of a certain zone and it's quests, they would be able to do that.

I know there is the 'delevel' mob in THF, which most people use to powerlevel alts, but the whole 'experience OFF' switch would be something different, with the player having the ability to turn experience back on once they have decided they are done with a particular zone.
I need a scorecard to keep track of all of my alts!!

well given our new progression line will be using smaller XP modifier, this could be a close alternative - you will be able to do entire content and all quests there before you out-level a zone.

I was just sharing an opinion and trying to say that I would rather the focus be on Higher level stuff.

My personal interest is in max level grouping/questing and raiding.

I wouldnt mind seeing truly custom lvl 70 xp zones or maybe hot zones every now and then.

Perhaps a rotation of zones going in and out at set times.

As it stand now, I could be wrong, but we only have PoV/Icewell/Kael/Fungus Grove.

Seems like Icewell/Kael are only good fore specific things and PoV is getting old for most people(not myself) and I have never been to Fungus yet.

I would rather have something like the above or something similar so that people would rather get AA and stuff at lvl 70 rather than leveling down to 51 and grinding in a non-custom zone.

well Charok, Ssra and maybe PoFire too.. and thats already 7 totally custom zone plus we'll have the adventure system out soon for lvl 70+ players. 32 adventures in 8 different zones all in all.. months of lvl 70+ content with wide veriety to grind AA.
the question is still the same. We have tons of custom content now, but ppl just fly by it, and so we are considering to lower the exp rate. Why we are asking for all of your feedback.

Ssra caves are also great for XP. With a good group you can keep the entire area clear, and I think it's about an aa every 5min with a group and if you have a nice flow.

Yeah, I see your point, maybe you are right then.


Regardless, I think lowering normal xp would be ok, but AA should stay the same.

I didn't even think about LDoN. I don't know, I can definitely see both sides of the argument but I have to say that I think that dropping AA xp gain down to 2x would be beneficial in the long run. Personally, I have had more than enough AA on all of my toons for a very long time. I'm excited for LDON, but at the same time bummed out. Half of the time people who LDoN on live do/did it for AAxp. At the very least, it was an extra incentive for people who did not need points. The fact that I won't be able to get that benefit takes some of the fun out of it.

Now on the other side of things, I remember what it was like when I wanted to get all my AA. It's always like that though, you want to become the best you can be on the game and you want it NOW!! lol. Still, I feel inclined to try and help people see how it will be after you get all of those AA.

I think in order for LDoN to have a maximum effect, a slight decrease in AA gain is necessary. To maximize it even further, after you change the normal AAXP rate to 2x you can make the hard LDoN instances worth more experience than the other zones. This will really make people get drawn towards LDoN, and I know you've been working on it for a month or more already so that's exactly what we need. It sort of promotes it ;)

Not a bad idea, I am curious, without me doing the math personally and adding everything up, what is the max AA you can get right now?

I was under the impression it is 900 or thereabout.

I have been playing for about a month maybe and I have 200aa.
Im sure that this could be considered average.


I am not against lowering AA xp necessarily but I would like to know

What aa maxes out at?

If there are tools out there for the devs to create there own AA's for us as well?


If creating custom AA's is an option then I think the rate should remain the same (everyone loves dinging) but the points needed for AA skills should be increased on custom AA's.

If SoF aa's become fully functional and available for the SoF client, then I see no need to create custom AA's for a long time. If you want more options for AA's, get an SoF client.
