The "max" for AA is generally around 1000-1200. It depends on the class.

As far as I know, nobody is actually max aa but once you get past the 400 mark then the aa's aren't as important. You need 200 to be decent on aa, 300 is well off, and 400 is when you start getting crap aa's that you don't need like statistical ones, tradeskill ones etc etc. There's no point in having every aa on the list purchased ><

Now as far as there being a lot of people with 400+, yes there are tons. Most who have been on this server for a few months have at least that.

SoF AA's are not just "more of the same". There are plenty of AA's that add much more to gameplay that isn't available on Emu. I have a feeling, however, that customizing aa's is a VERY difficult task considering how long it has taken to getting even all of the AA's fully functional for just the Titanium client.

As someone who is new to the server (and hasn't played since 2003)- I definitely enjoy being able to see my character progress, and love that I am able to get AA's at a decent rate. I have explored and enjoyed the custom content. I am a casual player- I work 12 hour shifts and have no choice to be anything but.

I think that it is fine to lower the normal exp rate, that went by quickly, and was enjoyable. If you lower AA exp rate, I think that it will not affect the power gamers- the will level right though it as fast as they can (and already have their 400aa done, so it does not matter much)- grinding more than exploring, and I think that it would be discouraging to the casual players. The rate of AA will have no bearing on what zone AA will be farmed in, just how long AA will be farmed for.

My vote is 1.5x normal exp 3x AA exp.

Edit: When I think about this more, I actually think that decreasing the AA rate would reduce the casual player's incentive to explore other zones- I would find myself more focused on finding a decent spot and grinding AA, and less willing to explore places where I probably should not be, or do not yet know the pathing, etc- because then taking an unressed death is more significant than it is now. New vote, 1.5x exp 1-69, 3x exp 70, 3x AA exp

Is there any way to add a # command for players that would allow them to pick their own % of exp gain based on the servers rate?

Like if you kept it at 3x, but for people like myself that enjoy leveling slowly over time I could type in:
#expgain 10
and that would make all of my exp gain 10% of the server rate

That would allow everyone to level at the pace that they enjoy.

I voted maybe because I don't have any high level toons to compare. I do know that it takes a ton more xp at higher levels, so I'm thinking more along the lines of:

Level 1-20: 2x xp
Level 21-40: 3x xp
Level 41-50: 4x xp, 2x aa
Level 51+: 5x xp, 3x aa

I hope this looks about right.
