I've finished the spell and tested it, works well.

With the 30 second cool down for the proc effect, the aoe buffs are only up for 12 seconds every 30 seconds maximum so I just added the haste and damage buffs to the proc aoe effect for the donor.

The spell should stack with the T9 robe mage per buff by the way. So definitely worth going back to Tactics to get it if you skipped it before. More so considering the drop rates are fixed for tactics trash spell quest items.

The new spell will be added and will replace Veil of Mastery with the next full reboot.

Looks like there's a stacking issue with Aura of the Frenzy slot 7. Easy enough to block frenzy on the mage pets I suppose, but if you don't catch it and use a third party program to refresh buffs, it can be a pain.

Was this meant as an upgrade to the mastery of the elements buff from the "aged sarnak channeler staff"? Looks like they don't stack and are really similar. It's probably the slot 5 atk line if they are meant to stack. And, the "lucid elemental storm gown" buff "Thaumaturgist's Infusion II" isn't stacking (and I assume the rest of the HoH+ mage robe click), looks like slot 6 ac line.

Thanks, Xero. This definitely isn't desirable.

When this spell was initially drawn up and created I don't think stacking was particularly considered fully. If it was, we've just changed two of those spells so they do stack with each other but the effects for this new spell were "thought up" years ago. So any plans Vaion may have made for stacking back then probably wouldn't work now anyway. All I did was find the spell that had been made a couple years ago and create the scripts to trigger the aoe stuff (innately impossible with source eqemu spells).

I still want this spell's theme to persist (aoe procs) because that's really fun and unique but there's a big part of me that feels that the buffs themselves just aren't necessary. In short, yes I think it was designed to replace the staff and not stack with two other spells but given the recent changes to the mage pet clicks and other reasons mentioned below I don't think that's really what should be the take home benefit of Elemental Glory.

I'm actually quite happy with the state of the mage pet buffs after the recent change to the t6 and T9 clicks. So Elemental Glory is disrupting that needlessly and the simple answer is get rid of the similar buffs.

I'll have a think.

But the two options I can see now are:

1. The original suggestion seems to me to be "replace the aged sarnak staff", reading the posts from when the thread started in 2016. If everyone wants that then I'll make it so elemental glory stacks with the T9 click and overwrites the t6 click. Have to say I'm not sold on this one though. Elemental glory and the staff are both t6. Seems a bit redundant to have two spells so similar in one tier. I'd rather...
2. The proc is what makes this spell unique. I think we just keep it to that and perhaps one buff that's less obvious, and not included in the other buffs, allowing all three buffs to stack and bring different things to the table. Any ideas are welcome as to what the new buff may be but I'll get this sorted ether way in the next few days.

Also, funny side effect of this spell change I noticed. The mages in tactics were broken. Veil of Mastery was one of their spells. So changing it to a pet buff lead to them attempting to cast it infinitely but failing due to having no pet,which they never cast because they kept trying to buff the pet they couldn't cast lol.

So that's fixed now. You'll be pleased to know that they now use the Ancient DS instead. So yes, they got a buff (+50 damage), sorry ;) You'll thank me for not using Chaotic Veil :D (double the damage).

Just need to respawn the zone which I'll do tomorrow night so if anyone does notice them behaving oddly, killing them should reset the issue when they pop again.

I'm fine with it not being a haste DPS buff and keeping using my Sarnak staff for haste. Maybe just leave slot 3 and the proc

I've applied changes to the spell and they should go live with the next reboot.

I've added a decent hp buff of 4500 and kept just the aoe proc. While this isn't as exciting as a damage buff, I don't think the mage pet needs an additional 15% dps in tier 6 (or any tier afterwards either, really). I feel a hit points boost is more fitting, particularly as tier 6 is when more bosses use serious aoe damage, which tends to impact pets more. I've definitely noticed that on our second play through.

The change I've made also fits in very nicely with the current content in development (this will make sense soon).

Essentially, you probably won't be needing to use a t6 click in T9 for much longer.

Lastly, elemental glory is unique and adds quite a nice new spell line type to the game that only mages have. It adds something more to the selection of the rk. pets and it should now stack with the t6 click and the T9 shorter buff click.

PS since starting work on this and other related stuff in the new content, I've put some time into reviewing the current pet situation and there are some exciting new additions on the way (note new additions, not balance/nerf).

For me the buff is being blocked by something I believe its the Raid aura - Aura of the Mighty. Is this on purpose or is it not compatible with raid aura?
