Hey there :)

We would like to hear your opinion and ideas about any of the topics mentioned in this post and even more. If you think something would be awesome and would fit into the THF lore and custom content, please do share with us here in this topic.

I'm going to spitball some ideas here. I'll revisit and post again when I have more time.

-Raid NPC's/Treasure Goblin v2.0-
Tank and spank!

-Starter/Hub Zones-
Bring back Mines of Gloomingdeep. I though it was a super fun zone.

-Mounts/Illusions-
Dragon who cast a totem; therefore, Dragon illusions for all!

-T10-
The forum landing page and wallpaper has dragons

-Dragon Lore-
Zenurix & Vistrinda are some how related. Do they meet in T10 to make a super robot dragon??

-TL;DR-
More Dragons!

Indeed, Vishimtar the Fallen was one of my favorite back in the days. :)

3.0's - Given how easy and fun 1, 1.5, 2.5, 2.8(and the upgrades for the 2.8 are awesome and fun) are. Then I read up on the 3.0's on the Wiki and ask myself why bother? That is a major time sink and not any fun for me.

Expedition to replace guild instanced.. LOVE the idea I actually suggested this a few years ago when the issues were present in HOH on mobs being contested. We still have that problem waiting to zone in and someone runs in and starts it. We just don't bother to complain as there is other stuff we can go do now.
Will Hive Queen and Enomuth be migrated to this system as well? No reason just asking as it seems they are handled differently from other instanced zones.

Starter/Hub Zones - Can we move the forest port in spot to not be in the cave?

Tier 10 - I have actually enjoyed the expanded T9 content since I have returned. When I stopped playing previously there were what 2 T9 zones, now we have 5. Just thinking how things were back say when Luclin was released. We got the whole expansion in one shot not zone by zone. Could T10 possibly be released that way?
Also Ruined City of Dranik would be an excellent zone to consider.

I probably have a lot of input to certain topics, but here's a few thoughts just reading through. :D

Expeditions vs. Guild instances

I think this is a fantastic approach. It would be so much easier to help players across all tiers with expeditions, or just to group with others doing the same tier content as you.

Solo-group progression pathway

I remember this topic well, and something I've tried to pioneer in the past. I think it would definitely draw some more attention to the server for players who don't want to box.

Starter/Hub Zones

I think the leveling zones are good. We could perhaps add more zones to them as well to provide even more options for leveling, just to spice it up for anyone wanting to farm AA's as well. There are SO many zones in EQ (some classic ones aside from what is on THF), we might as well use them.

I think the Planes are actually very fun, but I suggested this is as solo content in the past. Could be cool to find them as 70+ zones too.

Mounts..

I love collecting illusions, and so unique/special mounts would be no different. :D

Something different..

I think this is a fun idea. Endless dungeons (maybe similar to some LDON system) could be interesting depending on reward. Same goes for doing old content... could do expeditions that scale old content up if we choose. I think choosing appropriate rewards for something like that is tricky... not all of us value the same things. :)

First off I want to Thank all the Devs for the fantastic work they have been doing I am really enjoying the server !. Especially the more stable server :).

Epic 3.0

The new format is nice it make it more interactive, but its also a huge time sink. There needs to be a happy median between active questing and the old way where it would take a long time but you could do other things or RL while you camped things.

Expiditions

Omg yes thank you !

Mounts

Mounts in EQ have always been kinda a pita to use and kinda awkward especially in combat. I like the idea of a "mount" that you can click and it teleports you places tho.

Something Different

It would be cool if we could earn some kind of points for going through old content kinda like Hoh points which could be used to obtain non game changing items such as mounts, distillers, bigger bags, other fun random stuff you can come up with.

** Can you guys please revisit the idea of possibly raising raid experience so the people who do multibox can gain some AAs too? :)

I forgot to add is there also a way to make it possible for us to see all the achievements available for us so we can actively work towards them? It used to be like that on the website at least. There was also discussion in the past about making some kind of points system for that as a reward could tie that into the "something else" system.

I am so excited to see this thread!
Thank you DEVS!

I have been on this server since Janurary 10th 2010 and I come and go a lot but I always come back. I don't run a group of characters and for at least the first 6 years I played here I boxed my Monk and a Cleric and had a Cleric BOT. Box without MQ btw! Just alt+tab FTW

ANYWAY... I love to see the input from everyone.
Stoked on EPIC 3.0's
Stoked on the new Raid format allowing members from any guild to join forces.

I really like the idea about solo options for progression since I no longer box at all and only play my Monk (Hulk)
Also PLEASE bring back the Planes! POP was my favorite expansion and the progression through the Planes was and has remained some of my favorite eq!

I love the idea about the illusions and the mounts.
I personally collect illusion clickies and I know a whole lot of us do and take great pride in our collections :)

Thanks everyone for your input and ideas!

A point system would be nice with a vendor to purchase such items, or maybe even items from the zones? Similar to the VT test server event where finding bugs gave Ebon Crystals we got to use to buy VT items early on. Alternative to gathering more rare items for the boxed groups.

I really like everything I've read and i even really like the appreciation for "invisible background work" - Even if it is invisible, it's nice to be appreciated. Nice work Peterigz!

I'm also a big fan of the guild instance to Expedition route, maybe it'll take less than a few years per tier gain! :D

I'd also like to put my 2 pence in..

Firstly for the group / raid exp Muergan posted.

Secondly, i'd like to ask if there are any plans to revisit augs? I love the idea of the repeatable Diablo-style dungeons. Maybe having tier level augs drop in there would be good, even if theyre worse than the equivalent raid drops so when you get a new piece of equipment from a raid, you can at least aug it with something from the dungeon, and then if you do get an aug in a raid you can upgrade the dungeon aug... dungeon quality loot vs raid quality loot?

With the new tier system and with how difficult augs are to work with at the moment, how difficult / time consuming they are to get, and especially how difficult they are to move to a new gear piece, having a way to get tier rank points would be amazing. Even more so if these dungeons reset like LDONs - just by leaving and getting another one and not on a daily timer like Raids are. Could really put in a shift and grind to get what you need without waiting for raid respawn timers.
