Aranini's Sandstone of Fortitude don't have one either, they are tier 0.

Hail All,

I'm looking at my rogue Dreadspawn and wondering why he hasn't shifted tiers. He's currently Legendary (Tier 8) with 810 points. None of his items are less than T8, with some donors. All of his augs are T8 but for one, which is T7. There are about six T9 augs in there, again with a few donors.

Given that I think I am not able to enter a T9 zone, and asking if I had no donors, how would someone advance to T9 rank? I think at the beginning of the thread it said something like "or most" of your items being at the right tier to advance, and I only get a single point for items ABOVE my tier, is this system telling me I have to equip current-tier items to advance? That seems clever, but also burdensome.

Am I correct, should I unequip donors (T10) and items/augs that are T9 just to advance? If so, it seems to be a penalty to people that donate.

If I say something that you already know, don't be too harsh on me. 8-)

To see a synopsis of what you got, use command #myrank in game. It's a little bit better than the Item Tier List in Magelo caused it adds up how many points you have, and tells you what you need. In the case of a Tier 8 toon, you need 825 for T9.

I am pretty sure that the point calculator puts a cap on the tier value, in that it won't count past present-tier-plus-1. So all your T10 stuff is only counted as 9 points. And if you a manual count of all your rogue's stuff you'll get 810.

The biggest trick of getting higher tier points is getting equip with more aug slots. In Dreadspawn's case, he only needs to replace two of his 3-aug armors with 4-aug and that will do it. 8-)

I did a comparison of your rogue and mine. Unfortunately, I spent far too much money on donor gear (/glares at Lillu) and so can't give a lot of examples of which 3-aug can be replaced on Dreadspawn. But some are Band of Eternal Chaos, Cold Stone Bracer, Mask of Destructive Chaos, Emperiun the Treant Sting.

I don't think a toon can go backwards in rank, so once you trip the Tier 9 flag then you got it forever. So make whatever changes you need to then go back to what you want.
