Hi,

Is there a way that could be implemented to skip the bosses in DSK3? For me the appeal of DSK, Nadox, HoH, VT, etc. is the ability to kill only the mobs that are needed so that the limited time I have is useful. Having to kill the same mobs to get to the one or two that you may actually need loot from is more of a grind than killing a bit of trash.

Thinking you talk to the "Madman" and they would just instakill the mobs and set the timer on them as normal. You could use the book from the fairy as the unlock item to be able to skip the boss.

Just a thought.

Or what if we randomized an extra loot table that is a "combined" table from all DSK3? So example... you kill boss 1, it drops normal boss 1 loot, but also rolls 1-2 drops from any boss in DSK3. Kind of giving the incentive to kill more than just the 1-2 that have the specific table/item you are after. Those particular bosses would still give the best overall "chance" to get the specific item, but then atleast when you kill the others it wouldn't be just a waste of time.

@vaion not a bad idea to have random drops from other bosses but maybe at lower rate 50% ish to have an extra loot from the zone loot table

That works as well. As long as there is still incentive to kill mobs.

Damn thats a great idea,
could also give the people who cant do the whole of DSK 3 the chance to see other things and encourage being able to push what they can within the zone

This should now be live. Added some increasing possibility to add more incentive to push all the way through to end boss encounters.


Valik the First Creation = 50% chance of 1 item
Maestro Tan`Lor = 50% chance of 1 item
Vasella Fireblood = 50% chance of 1 item
Dorvias N`Keth = 75% chance of 1 item
Master Vule = 75% chance of up to 2 items
Khasra Vei`Ras = 100% chance of 2 items

On this note also - what is the feeling of adding this concept to other raid zones?

I'm not sure it will have any interest for other zones as you can kill any named without clearing the zone.

You can just kill luclin or vistrinda alone and skip everything else.

This sounds good to me, particularly T3 (ST) and T6 (VP) - They were pretty slow going.
Were you talking just T9 zones or ALL raid zones?

*edit* - would DSK1 and DSK2 count as one "DreadSpire Keep" zone as it's technically a single instance, or would they be kept separate?
I hear DSK 2 is very "you can't do this solo" sort of boss mechanics, so a chance of getting those loots from DSK1 bosses would be nice. It would keep me farming them long after my guys have gotten the flag to move up to DSK2, if i find i cant do DSK2 due to those mechanics.

When it launched, Dreadspire DSK 1+2 used to take an entire raid to complete. With a solid T8 geared group with minimal donors, You can almost walk through the entire zone.
