At a quick glance, I see this is because the necromancer has no fear spell at 70, right?

What's the fear spell you're using with your necro (and what level is it?)

This is easily rectified. Fear tactics (and most crowd control tactics, but in particular fear) aren't something anyone likely thought to properly customise here because no one uses them. But the Necromancer should have a capable fear spell even if it's only for one task currently.

You are correct the necro fear spell is lvl 68 I believe, and the recast on it is 15 sec so even if it did land these mobs will have owned the necro :)

Leave it with me. I'll try to knock something up quickly as part of the upcoming Spell Revamp.

It'll still have a similar recast but it'll be more effective at applying fear to these targets.

So I have now been testing this fight and wiping consistently to it over the past 3 months.

It is the only one that stands in my way to progression, and my wipes are solely due to the blue mobs that become active around the half way point. I have tried fear lines for bard, ench, necro -- NONE of them work. They are either resisted or there is no message at all. Furthermore, I went out and tested the actual fear spells on mobs out in the world and they do work, but not in this fight.

Would it be possible to just eliminate those mobs entirely, make them inactive for the entire fight, or choose another way we must CC them? The fight was fun enough with mez without the blue ones becoming active. My personal ask would be to take these out completely and let us enjoy the challenge of mez'ing the yellow mobs.

I know that some are lucky in that the mobs do not activate, but I have not had that luck.

Thank you for any help with this.

We'll figure something out. I think it'd be better to just remove the adds that requires fear CC, it's a bit demanding for teams with the current skill sets available. If no major objection that is, since the event been out and like this for a long time. :)

Hail, Noble Adventurers!

This explains why I used to be able to win this fight, and now cannot.

I just chalked it up to fat fingers and not playing enough. I appreciate those that take the time to dive into these things, as I just assume it's me. I'm not against taking them out, if they weren't working properly anyway before, as using good crowd control was already something that made this fight fun and different.

Just thoughts from the evil peanut gallery. :D

Thanks Lillu! You all have always been extremely helpful and responsive the community. Still the best I have ever been a part of since joining here. I love a good challenge, as you know; I just cannot solve this one as is.

Thanks THF team!

Advisor Kulthrik, Lastvik and Yulinth won't spawn anymore during the event. If there would be any more CC issue, please let us know (preferably with the NPC name).

If the event is too easy now, can also just make these mobs spawn again but in a charmable form so let us know. :)
