Not only that but look at it this way: The EQEmu staff strictly forbids pirating. They force you to buy the legitimate discs of the game rather than Torrenting a client. The people that do pirate clients (whether Titanium or SoF) are doing so against the Emu staff's wishes, Sony can't really hold the Emu staff responsible for that.
Secondly, The Emulator was designed to allow people to use the Everquest engine and client to either A. create a Classic EQ experience or B. Create completely custom content based off EQ's legitimate Lore. It's not like we're collecting packets off EQ Live and running exact clones of the game for free, it's custom not to mention 1 (soon to be 2) expansions behind Live and we're still tinkering with Secrets of Faydwer. You can't really substitute one for the other because imo Live and the Emu are completely different.
In short: SoE is still getting money out of this deal, it's not like we intend to replace Live we're simply being creative or nostalgic which in essence makes this a completely different game, and to top it all off the Emu has been running for how many years now? If SoE hasn't done anything yet why would they suddenly chose to do something now? Plus i think, in all honesty, Sony is more concerned about Playstation and bringing down Xbox (which i support

damn broken Microsoft crap lol) than the EQ Live servers or bringing down an Emulator.
Case in point, it's not Sony that DDoSed us and i doubt they ever will. All it was was a stupid little idiot on P1999 that got butthurt over something stupid and before a WAAAmbulance could be called he dropped the Denialbomb on the Login Server. =/
