Someone does have a motive. Look back at the explanation about that douchebag from P1999. Trust me it's not Sony if thats what you're hinting at. A company would be more likely to sue you than DDoS your Login Server

people take a game too serisouly there should be stress tests for games and if you get your heart pumping too much you shouldnt be allowed to play the game.

Yeah, there were several people that were unhappy with the way Project 1999 was being run, and they were very vocal on the forums about it. I'm not necessarily saying they're responsible for this attack, but it highlights the problems and drama the server had experienced. It's not hard for me to believe that somebody who played on P1999 is responsible for this.

My opinion was that the GM's had put in well over a year's work into the server, so had more rights than anybody else to play on it. Apparently, that didn't sit well with other people.

I also want to say that I've found THF to be a very enjoyable experience. Keep up the excellent work.

I agree 100% with this....if you put in the work on the server then you have every right to play on the server but what i dont agree with and i think most people had the problem with is that the toon they where playing with had all their GM powers and where assiassting one guild to progress faster then the rest. Which to my knowledge Rogan found out who this was and striped them and may have banned them but i am unsure of that.... Personaly i'd love to know that Lulu and Tyler where on server playing among the "common folk" its nice to know that they enjoy the server as we all do and strive to make it 100% stable

Problems connecting to the loginserver?
Please make sure your EQHost points to eqemulator.net:5998. If you are still having problems, Close EQ, Open up a Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> Cmd) and type ipconfig /flushdns, and then try again.
If you still continue to experience problems, this is most likely due to your DNS Servers caching the old IP. Try changing your DNS Host in your Network Configuration to 4.2.2.1
If this still does not work, as a last resort you can change eqemulator.net to 64.120.167.20 in your eqhost, but be mindful of this change as when we move back to a permanent host the ip will change again.
