Dorvias is’nt to bad after you do it a few times, it is timed so you will need to kill the adds.

Vule is always a pain for me, it’s time consuming and sucks to fail ><. I just killed him over the weekend and he behaved normally. Kill adds every 5% at 34% you get warped to the center of the room, do not move, range attack till 20%, then spam click earring. I have not seen him regen at range attack portion so i am not sure about that.

I will say it took me quite awhile to learn the encounters well enough to do them consistently while alone.

Hey False,

I've worked out the problem and it's MQ.

Basically despite me /end macros (which also stops healers healing), turning off assist - so melee don't run in, my toons still run into Vule at the 34% mark. I'm not sure what to do to fix it, given I've basically butchered my kissassist configs just for this one encounter. I've gotten rid of pets, everything. When half the raid runs in (I don't know why MQ is doing this) they get blown up (penalty no 1) AND Vule gets healed for everyone who dies. So that basically means I have to re-summon corpses, rez......and then they charge in again or they stand still, buffless. I manually turn on /autofire to attack but he despawns because it takes too long to get him back down from 100% to 20%.

This encounter is NOT intended for MQ play, and after over 2 weeks of trying.
There's 0 other plays on my time of day, so the only way to experience things here is MQ. I'm not up with coding
things, so I'm not going to try learn E3.

It's pretty pointless continuing on a server when you've got to completely turn things off and on just for one fight, and even then you've got no control over how the encounter is going to turn out. This isn't the only encounter that is not MQ friendly, but needing to get past this to get rid of the debuff for VT (I know I can kill bosses, loot items and turn in back flags, but that is very, very arduous and boring) and seems like I need the armor from DSK 3 to be able to upgrade items in VT.

I'm pretty well done unfortunately, as the server was great until here. But this is infuriating, and without anyone online for help, rather pointless.

Sad to see you got frustrated to this point, it's definitely not our intention with this encounter. We are always open for suggestions to change things if needed. Also, I'm sure help can happen at some point but I know your play time is different to the majority.

If you got suggestion on how to change the encounter, can always PM me or post on the forums. Hope to see you back soon!

It’s a rough fight that’s for sure, I’ll send you an pm of what i do at that point using E3, same strat worked when I use to only have mq2 so it should work for you.

I could be wrong, but knowing Vaion's past work, I assume he made this zone non-MQ2 friendly on purpose to get us to work together. Perhaps this is why that DSK3 NPC lives in The Hidden Vale zone.

Don't get me wrong, even with 2 people controlling a literal army, Dark Redemption hasn't yet made it past Maestro. I blame MQ2.

Many valid points in this thread. We still do have content that was designed around raids with multiple players working together and we do have content that tries to 'punish' MQ2 usage.

This shouldn't be the case anymore, simply considering the lower server population. To keep our content fun and doable, we are open for suggestions how to make these encounters less frustrating, doable, yet trying to maintain the challenge for lower number player raids or MQ2 users.

Vule and Lithluran will get some changes soon already but please let us know if there's anything else in your mind. Anything that's a huge bottleneck or source of frustration.

Wow. Thanks for the response Lillu.

I'm trying to do things in a sort of linear progression. See all the content if you will. So I've done T1 - 8, then basically went to DSK. I took one run through VT once I got keys for all my toons, but otherwise

I haven't done anything of note in Solteris T9 except kill trash and 2 of the dragons. In my VT experiment, I only did the first two bosses (the wings near the entrance). I had almost the raid debuffed to the max with the zonewide AE, so can't speak to anything beyond that point because I figured the zone wasn't really meant to be played in this manner and I should go to DSK to get rid of the debuff.

I think the places I've personally struggled are when there's a need for more than 2 tanks. MQ doesn't respond well to having multiple tanks, which also made the Dorvias encounter tough, but I found a way through that one. I'm happy to post some tips in the wiki with suggestions on that one. It did involve some alt tabbing, and it made the encounter tough and intense, but once I realised there was a timer and it was me taking my time trying to run through doors etc, I worked a solution that got rid of the wasted time.

I'll add some feedback in appropriate threads on zones, as I had trouble with 2 other encounters, but not sure whether they're a real problem or not. I've certainly passed them now. One I skip because it was annoying, the other I just don't need the gear anymore.

I would just like to say that I agree with the sentiment that it no longer makes sense to have encounters that force player cooperation. There was a time when player population was such that players could get together to tackle encounters like these, but that time has passed.

I have read about encounters to come in T8 and T9 (I just started progressing in T8) and I worry that I won't be able to progress anymore.

Haven't gotten to Vule yet, but if you remove the npc hate summons from the Lithluran room, it might make dps switching workable.
