What about adding a slot 16 to all elemental armor?

Forgive my laziness/ignorance, but what type of aug is a slot 16? What type of stats/effect could we hope to gain.

After doing this analysis I think I stumbled on to a different and more important problem related to the various caps. Judging from the toons I have analyzed, it would appear that virtually everything can be capped with T3 gear, possibly even T2 or mix of T2-T3. That basically means that once you are in ST, the only gear choices to make are HP/AC for survivability and clicks.

It would be great to be able to make choices that increase the caps on various effects. They can be engineered so you have to make a choice on whether you want to increase DPS effects or mitigation/avoidance effects. For example, put an aug slot on T4+ arms that you can either do a +% increase in the cap for shielding or combat effects. At least this would give me a reason to actually want to use elem arms. My monk would certainly use the DPS augs while my warrior would use the mitigation/avoidance augs.

With this in mind, future tier encounters can be tuned with these effects in mind. Making gateway events/mobs that require you to be over cap on the effects would be a good way to help control progression.

Ok, slot 16 would be a good addition. If the augs are similar to the one above then that could be part of a good solution. It wouldn't be like stacking double 8s, but it would make it an upgrade.

I would still like to see a way to increase the stats caps on armor effects. Can a dev comment on that? Would it be possible to increase say the avoidance cap with a slot 16 aug?

The 3 type 16 augs I know about are dropped in Fear by trash. Wiskey of fright(mid lvl), helm of cazic thule (highest, 25 more hp/mana and 4 more ac, and leaf of fear (low lvl).

When i created the Elemental Armor set, i wanted to reduce the stats of everything prior to it, just never got around to do it.

Current problem on THF is that you max out everything way too early, giving you little upgrades all in all beside raw hp/ac/mana. The only real solution to this is to "cut stats in half" from ALL armor and items. Something that people will obviously dislike at first glance, however if you look at the bigger picture (e.g. upgrade paths) - it's the only viable solution.

As Lillu already posted above, we need to evaluate what we are really going to do with the stat/resist/mod situation as currently, most people are maxed when they are done farming ToV.

After thinking about it, I actually quite like the armor as set up. It gives you a clear formula for who gets what.
Warriors, Clerics, (SK & Paladins if they even exist) get powerful.
Shammys and rangers get powerful.
Zerkers and Rogues get Traitors.
Druids get powerful.
Wizzys and casters get powerful.
Monks (and beastlords- do they exist?) get Traitors.

My zerker will be quite happy with Traitors as a final armor set, and I can farm it myself. My only question is does Traitor BP exist? Out of > a dozen kills I have yet to see it. A guildmate who has killed the warders more often to me still does not have either. Can we somehow check to see that BP's are on the loot table? It is listed on Magelo, but with all the goose eggs so far, It makes me wonder. The other thing that I have always wondered is why does MOTG only drop 1 piece of armor, when the rest of the zone drops 2? Yes, I realize that he drops the key, but you only need about 4 per guild- I will likely need another 20 kills to get the bracers that I need.

Edit: my big issue with the current setup is that I did not realize how the loot was structured until I had already looted a full set minus bracers and BP, and already replaced the whole set with powerful. Had I realized ahead of time the loot structure, I would have allocated the loot more efficiently.

The bp does drop, just hella rare. We haven't seen one in over 30 kills, but I know it exists. Check out Lictor's Magleo, he got one.

Sorcerer and Captn of Fire have a 50% chance to drop one.

General Flamesinger 25%.

Plenty of chances imo! Just need good look with the RNG :)

Those two drop the ornate patterns, though. I think they're talking about the elemental ones :)

Edit: Actually, I just checked and I don't see the elemental bp or legs on the pofire loot list at all. According to alla clone you can only get the legs in potime (Avatar of Earth, 100% on 10 item shared list with x3) and the BP in poair (Xegony, 100% on 4 item shared list with x1).
