Hotkey for keeping cleric bot casted resist buffs will pretty much negate dispel. Just make sure to buff up with those first then fill up on the rest of your buffs. No clickies needed.

only useful if you still use a cleric bot. I use to do it like that, now I just use clickies and/or plow it.

first two buffs should be junk buffs…. then have levi at the end. I just use /stick 5 to keep my tank on him always. The punt will move your tank out of range and he will destroy your pets if you don't stay right on him with the tank.

I also have holyshits (mq2melee) setup to always keep my junk buffs on. That way with /stick 5 and holyshits it frees up my time to focus dps.

As khal said, i just run my pet classes into range to get the pet to attack then put them back behind the tree. Then i bring in some other dps to help kill him faster since he always strips my pet buffs off pretty quick and their dps goes down a lot.

All-in-all, the CT fight is not terribly difficult. The problems most people run into is by trying to do too much. It's a battle where you really really really need to focus on your tanks proximity to CT, because if you're on the edge of melee and get the gflux (even with levi) it will DECIMATE pets (which are the *primary* dps for this fight, outside rangers, but good luck finding one :P)

It's been stated many many times before, but to reiterate, junk 2 buffs at top of list (3-4 may be needed because he has a tendancy to throw debuffs in those freshly empty slots). Hide healers/pet classes within range to avoid kockback (may take a few attempts to find the perfect spot) and hail the fairy :P He doesn't hit particularly hard at all. It's his skills that thwart newcomers.

I suppose melee dps can use the same levi trick and use stick to stay in the fight, but why complicate things? It's also very advisable to clear everything within 3/4 of the zone from CT in case things go awry and a random misplaced toon gets send into the amyg temple, then you have 40 knights running at you spamming 100% debuffs and mana drains and you have a .01% chance of success at that point :P

The REAL issue with CT are those annoying golems that DT. If you don't have immortal shield (thank gawd I do!) you have to employ some very extravagent strategies to bring em down before hitting the lord of fear, and then use uber burn DPS to make sure your primary tank doesn't bite a DT before they decide to do it again :P

Gawd, I love this server.

Well I gave CT another try but I couldn't budge his hit points. All those GM's standing around watching me were making me self conscious about my dps so I eventually gave up. On a good note though, it was considerably easier to clear my way to him and he couldnt budge my hits points either!

Attempted humor aside, I havent been back to PoF yet. I'll hopefully find time to try soon but work and life are monopolizing my time. I'll post my gratuitous CT corpse screenshot before you know it.

I finally brought this guy down. I used a smaller group of 6 instead of my normal numbers. One tank, 3 healers, 2 pet classes. I shrunk all my toons and ran them all up behind the debris directly behind CT and it helped a ton with healing. For some reason back behind the tree none of my guys want to heal (not a range issue).

Strange issue there, do you use a healing macro? If you do I wonder if there's a silly range issue built into it or something as I've never had an issue with healing from behind the tree.

Nevertheless, you've beaten him! Good stuff!

Rude is helping me out with this, it's a macro issue and I'll make a fix for the next time I need to take down CT the giant turd ball. It appears that the macro has poorly defined values for range and it just wont attempt if the heal target is too far, easily correctable.
