This guide is directed towards those who play solo and box many characters. It is an attempt to provide an overview all the way through tier 6, helping you get the most out of every tier to help you prepare for the next. It is directed towards those who choose to play by themselves without grouping with other people, so the guide stops before tier 7. While you can solo box T7+ and some do, T6 represents the last tier (so far) that does not have deliberate scripts to defeat the solo box playstyle and require multiple people.
Pre-logon:
- Download the patcher and also make sure you have the map files. Without the map files you will not have all of the handy labels that are specific to this server.
Prep:
- Hail Queen Adrianne and follow her dialog for your Charm 1.0 (you will upgrade this later)
- Do the Welcome to the Hidden Forest quest for a free 100pp
- Walk over to Umbo and buy as many backpacks as you can carry, transferring them to Moosher the banker until both your bank and your inventory are nearly full of backpacks
- Hail Organ to jumpstart your meditate skill to 200
- Buy a full set of armor from the appropriate npc (all free)
General Guidelines:
- Save your plat, don’t bother buying tokens to unlock higher tiers. You are going to need all the plat you can save for your epic 2.0, and armor sets for T4 through T6
- The only items I’d recommend buying are:
o Tae ew backpacks
o T8 mage / necro pet spells (expensive!)
Pre 70:
- Make sure you visit your trainer in the forest from time to time to prime skills (dodge, riposte, etc)
- Loot everything that isn’t nailed down and bank it, you’ll wish you did later when you eventually discover what the item is for
- Collect every Stone of Sturdiness you can for your tank
Levels 1 - 30:
Crushbone
- Complete The Orc Slayer, you will get a lot of use out of this levitation ring
- Complete your Epic 1.0
- Complete your class armor quests
- Get Jboots. Any mob in the zone can drop them, you will use jboots until you max your run speed aa’s at which time you can bank / destroy them
- Kill Rowi the goblin to complete half of the charm 2.0 upgrade quest
Pal Caverns
- Kill Rowe the goblin to complete the Charm 2.0 upgrade quest
Levels 31 – 55:
City of Mist
- You can complete most of the Chaotic Armor slots from this zone
- Any mob has a chance to drop Chaotic Coins
- [Optional] Turg has a quest to kill 15 black reavers for a nice ring with group damage shield
- [Optional] Complete the Kseskar the Insane quest for a nice melee weapon (the dagger is a great upgrade)
The Ruins of Old Guk
- [Required] Mana users complete the Hunt for Spirits quest. You will use this often in long fights later on when you run out of mana
- [Optional] Complete the Hunt for Life quest for a clicky complete heal item
Levels 56 - 69:
- Don’t leave these zones until you get Stones 1 through 4 for your epic 1.5.
- Be on the lookout for /ooc’s of people killing dragons and offering the Blood of the Dragon (epic 1.5 piece), or kill the dragons yourself.
- Make every effort to loot a Proof of Dead Dragons from these same dragons, you will need it later for T6 gloves and it’s a pain to go back for them later
Old Sebilis
- Good place for gems
Nagafens Lair
The Plane of Valor
Level 70
- Head back to your gm class trainer and put 21 points into blacksmithing and tailoring
- Get a decent “buffer” amount of experience then flip over to 100% AA for and get these first:
o Run speed 3, Blacksmithing Mastery, Tailoring Mastery
- Watch /ooc for Dain, AoW, Melefan kills so you can loot the appropriate epic 2.0 pieces
Icewell Keep
- Begin working on a full set of class armor (upgrade to Chaotic). NPC’s here drop pieces to create armor sets, collect them all to make your own set and optionally you can use these to increase your blacksmithing / tailoring skills for other class sets
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Collect all pieces for the Chaotic Potions portion of the Solo Aura quest, combine them as you get them. Don’t worry about your current trade skill levels, that is why you maxed your AA mastery so you can “brute force” create them as you loot them w/o having to endure the misery that is tradeskills. You’ll fail some but this is the quickest route to create the potions.
- Loot and bank 4 Icy Emblems (epic 2.0)
- Loot and bank 5th part of the truth (VP key part)
- Loot and bank Anvil of Dain (epic 2.0)
- Pick up and bank Pure Water (ground spawn) where Dain stands (epic 2.0)
- [Optional] Loot an Earring of the Frozen Body for a feign death clicky
- [Optional] Loot an Iced Necklace. It has an instant cast buff and doesn’t take up a normal inventory slot (ammo slot)
- [Optional] Loot a Molten Ice for a nice invulnerability clicky
Fungus Grove
- Detour here only long enough to loot and bank the 1st part of the truth (VP key part)
Plane of Storms
- Detour here only long enough to loot and bank the 4th part of the truth (VP key part). The part only drops in the “frog cave” that is right by the zone in, don’t bother with the rest of the zone
Chardok
- Loot and bank the 2nd part of the truth (VP key part)
- Kill all 3 royals for their heads and bank the Broken Ancient Blade (epic 2.0). Head back to the fairy in the forest to turn in the heads for your Charm 3.0
- Loot a Lillu’s Wand of Angel Callling from certain named, it has a clicky rezz effect useable by all
Tipt
- It is time to take a detour to Tipt, such a nice zone for aa and 4 great loot items. The npc at the zone in will take 4 specific npc drops that will earn you either 100pp or a great item (50/50 chance). Crawl the zone until you get:
o Patch of Hynid Fur = Hynid Eyeball
o Shiny Cragbeast Scale = Cragbeast Bone Ring
o Stonemite Slime = Talosian Ring (great cure clicky)
o Bloody Ukun Fang = Ikaav Poncho
Kael
- Do not attempt Kael until you have all of your defensive AA’s. The npc’s in this zone hit for a *lot* more than any previous ones and the pulls mostly come in pairs. This zone is meant to test your that your gear and aa’s are at a minimum level.
- Augment every possible slot on your tank with the stones of sturdiness you’ve saved
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Loot and bank Glowing Mold (epic 2.0)
- Pick up and bank Blood Drop of the War Machine (ground spawn) where AoW stands (epic 2.0)
- Loot and bank 4th part of the truth (VP key part)
- Loot and bank the following drops (for Raid aura quest): A Dark Shard, A Dark Ball of Energy, A Dark Mirror.
Ldon
- The goal here is to get a “win count” of 50 and 1050 points, it is up to you if you wish to obtain additional gear. Each win on normal mode gives you 3 points towards your “win count” so you only have to win 17 and not 50. I wouldn’t bother with hard mode, it only gives 2 points towards your “win count” and takes a lot longer and it is much harder. The boss mobs don’t have a high enough chance to drop their rares for it to be worth the effort.
- Buy (1) 300pt Kiss of Life aug and (1) Magic Glove Unit (750) points and bank them both.
Solo Aura
- It’s time to complete your solo aura quest with the potions you have created during your time in Icewell Keep
Shadow Haven
- Complete the zone quests for a healing automation
- [Optional] Upgrade your Kael / Icewell armor. Be aware that you will lose some key worn affects so this could be considered a side-grade or even a downgrade
Tier 1
- Prerequisites:
o You now have your full set of gear from Icewell / Kael / Shadow Haven
o You have your epic 1.5
o You have completed your solo aura
o Your defensive aa’s are fully complete (don’t skip this!)
Ssraesha Temple
- Your goal here is to get flagged for T2 by killing the Emperor. You’ll need a key to his chambers for every character
Tier 2
Stillmoon Temple
- Upgrade your Icewell / Kael armor from npc drops
- Do the access quest for the Ascent. This zone is T6ish in difficulty and has some of the best T6 and below loot in the game. Get access now while you are upgrading your armor so you don’t have to come back later.
Temple of Veeshan
- Upgrade your charm from zone dropped items to Charm 4.0
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Pick up and bank Acid of Eternity (ground spawn) in central hub (epic 2.0)
- Pick up and bank Scroll of Chaos (ground spawn) under Lord Koi’Doken (VP key part)
- Work on upgrading your Stillmoon temple armor if you wish. They are similar in stats but some ToV armor has nice clicky / worn affects
- Get a Orb of the Crimson Bull from Lady Mirenilla for clicky call of the hero
- Get a Silver Chains from Jorlleag to complement your Orb of Spirits from Guk
- Loot and bank Blood of the Elder from Vulak (epic 2.0)
- Loot a Symbol of Greed from Vulak (class ring quest)
Western Wastes
- Kill Melafan or other dragons to obtain the Frozen Tear of a Dragon (epic 2.0)
Tier 3
Sleepers Tomb
- Complete your epic 2.0
- Complete your epic 2.5
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Upgrade your charm from zone dropped items to Charm 5.0
- Loot and bank a Symbol of Treachery from the Sleeper (class ring quest)
- Upgrade all of your armor with the Traitors set
- Augment all of your new armor slots with zone augment quests
- Loot and bank Scroll of Treachery in the water near Final Arbiter (VP key part)
- [Optional] – Hammer of Kerafyrm (Progenitor) rezz clicky for shm/dru/clr

Plane of Storms
- [Optional] – Kill Froggernought for great slot 4 weapon augments
Charm 6.0
- Hail the fairy in the forest and complete the quest for Charm 6.0
Tier 4
Doomfire
- Powerful Armor is the next armor set, start collecting it here. The ingredients include a vendor purchased item that is 5k, so a full set of armor is 8*5 = 40k per toon
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Loot and bank Symbol of Chaos from Fennin Ro (class ring quest)
Tier 5
Kingdom of Wind
- Powerful Armor is also created from drops in this zone, fill out your missing pieces
- Augment all of your new armor slots with zone augment quests
- Get some useful type 4 weapon augments
- Complete your epic 2.8
- Upgrade your spells / disciplines
- Loot and bank a Scroll of Order (VP key part)
- Loot and bank Symbol of Order from Xegony and finish your class ring quest
- Loot a Ring of the Constable for your tank (+10% dodge buff)
Tier 6
Tower of Solusek Ro
- The goblin in the vale wont give you the option to enter unless you have completed your 50 ldon win count which you should have already completed
- Get your Kiss of Life aug out of the bank to exchange for a key
- Use this zone to farm aa xp due to the high number of npcs and their relatively low health
- Once inside get the quest from the goblins to enter Solusek Ro’s room
- Defeat all the minis and unlock Solusek Ro’s room
- Defeat Solusek Ro. Turning in his head will grant you a nice augment which is unfortunately type 2 so it has very limited application
[Optional] Natimbi
- Max your fishing skill at the pond in the PoK next to the Fishing Vendor
- Head to Natimbi and complete the 1st part of the Sea Beasties quest for great weapon upgrades and great augments
Veeshan’s Peak
- Complete the key quest with all the pieces you have banked over the course of your progression
- Ancient Armor is the next armor set, start collecting it here. The ingredients include a vendor purchased item that is 10k, so a full set of armor is 6*10 = 60k per toon (two pieces are from Fear and don’t have a platinum requirement)
- [Required for pet classes] Get the Aged Sarnak Channeler Staff from Silverwing
Kingdom of Wind
- Briefly detour back to here to augment some key pieces of your new Ancient Armor. Focus on chest, legs, rings, and earrings.
Wall of Slaughter
- Melee toons definitely should get their WoS pets, it makes a big difference.
Great Divide / South Karana / Natimbi
- Kill kodiaks in GD, aviaks in SK, and sharks in Natimbi for great augments. The kodiaks seem to have the highest drop rate
Enomuth
- Complete the Vale “Enomuth” quest for a great augment
The Ascent
- Zone into Stillmoon Temple and enter the Ascent
- Complete the key quest to proceed to the boss. The key is actually a bracer that is arguably better than your VP bracer.
- Some of the gear in this zone is the best gear in the game up to T6 (2hs, 1hs, bracer, etc)
[Optional] Shissar Tasks quest line
- This is optional mainly because the rewards are mostly radiant crystals which are useless to you by now
Charm 7.0
- Hail the fairy in the forest and head to Natimbi / Riwwi to complete the quest for Charm 7.0
Raid Aura
- It’s time to upgrade your solo aruas with raid auras
Plane of Fear
- Completing this zone is going to be nearly impossible for you solo because of the death touches from the golems. Most solo boxers are a house of cards, once the tank falls the rest drop like flies. You can nearly fully mitigate the death touches by donating for an Ares, Shield of Immortality
- Kill Cazic for Proof of Cazic’s death (2 drop per kill)
- Get your proof of dead dragons and magical glove unit from the bank to complete your Ancient Gloves
- Turn in your Proof of Cazic’s death along with various zone drops to complete your Ancient Sleeves
Plane of Tactics
- This is arguably the final destination for your solo boxing play style, with Rallos Zek being the end game npc to defeat
- Start working on outfitting your entire crew with bane weapons, RZ is immune normal melee damage
- There are some good class spells and disciplines to quest for in this zone
- Each Tallon Zek / Vallon Zek / Rallos Zek attempt costs platinum per character (500 at the time of this guide), the costs can add up as you attempt each
More to come as more solo box content arrives!
