Q: What is THF?
1) THF stands for "The Hidden Forest". This should be apparent, but many people ask over /ooc when told how to enter various zones or where to buy goods.
2) THF is a zone that acts as a central hub where one can find class trainers, spell scribe, buffers, banker, starting armor sets, custom quests and teleporters into custom zones and normal zones. As such, players start out bound in the THF and move through content visiting THF often.
Q: Where do I find bots?
1) You don't. There is no vendor or quest for bots. To make a bot refer to the #bot help create, #bot create help, #bot help, command's in-game.
Q: How many bots can I have?
1) You can have as many as you want but only 1 bot active at a time, one per group (provided you are the leader), 0 per raid.
2) You can have many different classes of bots for various circumstances (rogues to open doors, enc to mezz etc.) but the rule above applies at all times. Regardless of how many bots you have made, their classes etc.. you can only have 1 active bot and must wait 3 mins between summoning bots or if a bot dies to resummon it.
Q: How do I add a bot to my group, How do I remove a bot from my group?
1) If you use the #bot help command it will list every available command you can use with your bots in-game and it goes into some detail. In short:
To add a bot to your group: target bot and hit invite or type, #bot group add to remove target bot hit disband or type, #bot group remove. You can also use ctrl+I to add your bot or players to your group.
Q: I like to box, how many characters can I box?
1) 32 per Ip address. Remember though if your going to use 3rd party programs read the Server Rules on what is acceptable and what is not.
Q: Why won't my bot heal properly?
1)If a healer bot casts a regen or hot on you they won't heal you so it is best to block those buffs so it just heals you.(to block buffs right click buff icon you want to block or click EQ button > Character > blocked buffs and manually type in buff you want to block.
2) It is a bot and bots A.I. is not always perfect and will always have a problem here and there. They are not supposed to be, nor will they ever be a replacement for players. If you want a reliable healer box one, find a group or join a guild.
Q: My bot will stop attacking and run back to me and sit down mid-fight, how do I fix this?
1) Stop using bots, box some dps.
2) Spam an attack macro so the pet will re-engage the mob. The bots aren't designed to be the smartest things around and will often med when low on mana mid fight, or if you are out of combat range too long.
Q: My character is stuck and I need help getting out.
1) If you have your charm and are a melee character, you have a clicky item with gate. You can try that first.
2) If you are stuck in a position where you cannot cast you can summon a shaman bot and have it shrink you see #bot help for command.
3) You can use the /rewind command provided you have stopped trying to move for 30 seconds.
4) You can also spawn a druid or wizard bot and have them succor you out of the area.
5) Failing these methods, use the THF's forum portal tool for stuck characters.
If none of the above work, you can ask for GM assistance, though the GMs are usually very busy working behind the scenes so if the above does not work PM Lillu or Micah.
Q: What is the haste cap? How does haste work?
1) The current haste cap is 145% per #mystats
2) The cap consists of combined Item Haste + Spell OR Song Haste + Over Haste Clicky or Over haste Bard Song
3) Haste items do not stack, highest applies, the rest don't count.
Q: What are custom zones and what is this custom content?
1) Custom zones differ from EQ zones in many ways. First the mobs are generally very different, either in look, placement, capabilities and in the loot they drop.
2) Custom zones or more-or-less progression zones. Each one should be considered a solo/group zone. from Crushbone to Shadow Haven per the lvl req. fairys.
3) When you enter a custom zone, everything you thought you knew about the mobs is outdated and the level bracket for each zone represents how hard the zone would be for a well balanced player/group in those levels.
4) Regardless of whether or not you can kill the typical trash type mobs in various custom zones, the bosses are often much tougher.
Q: Where do I find better weapons?
1) The best weapons are quested or found on bosses in custom zones.
2) You can also buy Donator Weapons by donating to the operation of the server.
Q: Where do I get better armor?
1) Custom zones and through quests.
2) The first set of armor can be found in THF for free off class vendors.
3) Upgrade to that would be from quested from Murgot in THF, speak with him for quest details and for what is needed.
4) Upgrade to that would be quested form Sheever again in THF, speak with him for quest details and for what is needed.
Q: Does THF have epics?
1) Yes. THF has 1.0, custom 1.5, and 2.0 epics. As well as 2.5, and 2.8 epic aug quest's.
Q: X doesn't work for me.
1) There are a few spells and AAs which are broken or do not work correctly within the eqemu. Your best bet is to check the eqemu forums for updates, or search THF forums for others who may have reported the same problem and gotten a response for our Dev team works hard to make sure everything eventually works as attended.
2) If you have found a problem with an item or a spell that hasn't been reported, please do so in the spell/disc feedback section and be as detailed as possible so Dev's can work to fix it. Feedback is very important and encouraged.
Q: I wear Y and my bot uses X type armor. How do I upgrade my bot since I can only get Y armor from Sheever?
1) Hand the armor into Sheever until you get the type of armor you need for your bot.
2) Bots can now use augments in armor, to augment a piece of armor, go to the bird pond, place the armor in the bird bath along with the aug you want to use and type #bot augmentitem
Q: I can't give my bot armor/I can't take armor from my bot.
1) In #bot help there is a command #bot inventory list use the slot # to remove items with #bot inventory remove= slot #
2) To give an item to a specific slot IE. Primary or secondary or if item can be equiped to different slots use same command #bot inventory list to get ID # you want then type #bot giveitem+ slot #
Q: Can I ask xx question about mq2? .. or just flat out asking the question in ooc..

Q: Do different haste items, skill % mods, ranked skill effects like Ferocity IV, Dodge V, etc stack?
1) No nothing of the same area stacks highest wins per item/spell/song.
