Overview

PoFire is the an open raiding zone in the 4th tier. It is the home of Fennin Ro, various mini-bosses that can be taken down by a single group in Sleeper's Tomb gear. Fennin Ro is the boss of the zone, and spawns a fairy upon death that will flag 12 people for access to the Plane of Air (Tier 5).

Quests

Armor Quest

Two sets of armor come from Plane of Fire: Strange and Powerful. The quest is the same, it is the pattern that determines which tier of armor you get. Strange armor is essentially entry-level raiding gear, and is attainable for a group (or less) of Kael-geared players. Powerful armor is the raid set that supercedes the Traitor armor from Sleeper's Tomb. A detailed guide, written by Jerant, is located on the forums. This reference was taken from his post.

Raw Materials Required:

  • 4x Strange <material>
  • 2x Strange Fluid
  • 1x Elemental or Ornate Pattern
  • 1x Glowing <tool>
  • 1x Moug's Purchased Stone

Pre-Combine Recipes: (can fail, recommended 250 or 220+3/3 mastery AA's)

  • 2x Strange Fluid = 1x Strange Fluid Essence
  • 4x Strange <material> + 1x Strange Fluid Essence = 1x Strange <material> Fluid

Final Combine (can not fail):

  • 1x Strange <material> Fluid
  • 1x Elemental or Ornate Pattern
  • 1x Glowing <tool>
  • 1x Moug's Purchased Stone

This quest requires tradeskills for the first combines, but the product of the combines is tradeable. That said, I strongly suggest you work on tradeskills as they will pay off in some future quests.

Fennin Ro

To trigger the Fennin Ro event, you must kill the Guardian of Doomfire that is located at the back of the Second Castle, at the tables. He is on a 6-10 hour respawn timer.

After killing the trigger, Guardian of Doomfire, you must then clear a gauntlet of mobs and mini bosses leading up to Fennin Ro's throne. Abilities of the mini bosses vary, from stuns to aoe feign death, to aoe dots.

Killing 'Fennin Ro, the Tyrant of Fire' will spawn a fairy who offers flags for Tier 5, Eryslai, the Kingdom of Wind.

Word to the Wise: Fennin's Elite guardians are not to be trifled with. They hit very hard and very fast (T7 level) - well above the difficulty of tier 4. They also have an increased aggro range. Since they are white con to 70, use bard/enc/monk pacify at max range -- bard is most preferable, since they can fade if the pacify is resisted.
