Notes
- You do not need to complete the solo aura first.
- You will lose your solo aura once you have completed and chosen a raid aura.
- Raid auras overwrite solo auras of the same effect that are running in the same group. I.e. Aura of the Mighty (melee) overwrites Aura of the Frenzy.
- You may collect any mob-dropped item relative to this quest prior to starting it. This is not the case for ground spawns.
- You may cast your aura with /say #auracast. This command has a 180 second cooldown.
- At any point, if you are unsure of your progress, simply Hail Elzari the Scholar (The Hidden Vale) for a clue about your current task.
Beginning
- Hail Elzari (The Hidden Vale) and get the quest to find Ahenu and deliver a letter to him in Timorous Deep.
- Use the normal fairy porter, and head to Overthere or Butcherblock Mountains. From Overthere, head to the docks and then swim/lev to the Timorous Deep zoneline (it's very small) **note** the boat does not work. If going through Butcherblock Mountains, again head for the docks and swim/lev to the Timorous Deep zoneline (it's very small) **note** the boat does not work.
- Once in Timorous Deep, Ahenu is up in the mountains on the far SW island there (-9133 / 2874 / 218). Give him the letter, and then follow his links till he doesn't give you anymore links.
-Next, port to Erudin (erudnext), then use "Travel to Crossing" on the dock gnome to Erud's Crossing. Head north and swim to the ocean floor at (1506, 2140) to find the bag on the ground, containing Crystal of Soul. You ought to get a yellow message saying something about your spirit being pulled. You can not pick it up early - you can only pick it up after speaking to Ahenu.
-The next part takes place in Crystal Caverns; however, you will need mob drops for the quest to move forward. You will be asked (and you should do this before heading there) to find:
- All three of the items are tradable and have a 6% chance to drop in Icewell Keep and Kael Drakkal
- Hit up the normal zone fairy again for Crystal Caverns. Way down in here is Versus (-152 / -234 / -555). On the map, his room is the one just NW of the Queen (Chaotic Queen Dracnia). If he is not up, then someone has already popped the event. It has a 6 hour respawn. Go through his links, and you find he wants you bring him the Crystal of Soul from Erud's Crossing and the 3 drops from Icewell/Kael.
- Bring Versus these and prepare to fight Qwune the Possessed. She hits very, VERY fast and pretty hard, but has low hp so...yea. Loot the Journal from her.
- Head to Erudin and give the Journal to Elsu Zermiun. She is in first floor of the Erudin Library. She gives you the Letter to Erundi
- Take this letter to Erundi Zermiun in Lake Rathetear (-926 / 2202 / 15). Erundi is behind Dranco, he tells you that he lost an artifact in the mountains and wants it back. I got back behind him with SoS, but you may want to bring a person to train him away, or try to kill him with a solid ass group.
- Head into Rathetear Mountains. Head straight east from zone in to Gypsy Camp (4030, 1395). You will get a yellow message telling you to check closely the carts. On the back of one the carts is Erundi's Necklace. Take it back to Erundi. He tells you that it isn't the right necklace but was a Gemmed one on Luclin.
- Head to Tenebrous Mountains. Use the Normal Zones Teleporter to Acrylia Caverns, take a few steps to Grimling Forest, then run to the Tenebrous zone. It's just a short way beyond the Grimling/Tenebrous zoneline). There is a rock and a tree together in the SE corner (-1545, -977). You will get "Something sparkles in the corner of your eye". Loot Erundi's Gemmed Necklace
-Return to Erundi in Lake Rathetear. He is pleased you got it right this time (as was I). He gives you a Letter to Ahenu
-So back to Ahenu in Timorous Deep (-9133 / 2874 / 218). He tells you that you need to find the person that his Brother taught.
-Head on over to Kedge Keep
Kedge Keep
-Just inside the zone, go forward then turn right and you will see Estria Yuniz. Estria tells you that she is working on imbuing coral with the power. She needs you to kill the 3 strongest mermaids in Kedge Keep for her so she can search the final chamber for the most powerful coral:
- NOTE: target hitpoints are often buggy in this zone. If you are fighting a mob and their health bar is not moving, then try this:
- Move into melee range.
- Target mob.
- Target self.
- Target mob again.
- You should now see the proper HP of this mob for the rest of the fight.
- It is easiest to do all fights where the raid is in melee range of the mob.
- Estrella of Gloomwater drops 3x Mermaid Scales
- Estrella of Gloomwater spawns 4 seahorses in the side rooms which must be disposed of. These seahorses spawn 2 mermaids when they die, which in turn spawns 2 sharks. All of these adds must be killed before Estrella can be damaged further. This will occur up to several times during the fight.
- Priestess Auraia drops 3x Mermaid Scepter
- Very similar to Estrella, Priestess Auraia will spawn adds that split upon death. While adds are up, she is invulnerable to damage. Dispatch all adds and then you may resume DPS on the boss.
- Auraline drops 3x Mermaid Pearl
- When Auraline drops a little bit in health after you've pulled her, she will respawn with clones. You must kill all clones before killing her. Hint: use tracking!
Note that these are not easy fights. They really require VP+ gear, and time. They are harder than any fight in VP as far as the script goes, so have fun out there. Respawn time is 1 hour.
- Once you get the 3 'mermaid' drops (Scales, Scepter, and Pearl), return them to Estria and she will give you a key that will allow you to reach Phinigel, and ask that you return the coral from Phinny to her.
- Phinny is a triggered spawn. There are 4 Ancient Swirlspine Guardian seahorses directly above where he spawned on live. Kill all 4 of those seahorses, and another seahorse will spawn where Phinny did on live, when that seahorse dies, Phinny immediately spawns. **note** You must kill all 4 seahorses just to see if Phinny is up. They respawn on a different timer than he does. Phinny is a 24 hour respawn.
- Phinigel Autropos drops 3x Glowing Fragment of Coral and requires a Coral Key to get to
- Return the coral to Estria, she'll give you Glowing Crystal of Soul that she tells you to give to Miragul.
Miragul
- Head to Everfrost Peaks. Miragul is a triggered spawn in a hut at the northen most point in the zone ( in the caves ). Hand the crystal to Lich of Miragul and it will start the event. **note** If you wipe, the Lich of Miragul will respawn in 1 hour. Since your crystal was given to him earlier and is now gone, just hail the Lich to receive a new one.
- When you begin the fight, 4 skeletons will immediately spawn. After they are dead, Miragul (erudite) spawns inside the hut. During the fight, he will basically completely blind anyone within 50 yards until the end of the fight. When he gets to about 80%, 4 skeletons will spawn. Kill the shortest one. Keep killing Miragul until Sir Lucan D'Lere spawns, and kill him. at 10%, Miragul will aoe knockback everyone and put a 100% movement reduction on them, so it is recommended that you have him near the wall or the tank will be unable to reacquire him. If you don't follow this order, the event will fail and you will have to wait 1 hour to try again. Upon success, the event will take 8 hours to respawn.
- Loot Empowered Crystal of Soul **note** if this crystal is looted on a toon that did not do the turn in to Lich of Miragul, then Elzari will not accept it until you've done all prior steps. The last hidden flag is received from turning in Crystal of Soul to Lich of Miragul. If you for some reason triggered the fight on one toon and looted on another, all is not lost. You just need to swap roles the next time you trigger Miragul. Lich of Miragul is a 4-8 hour respawn.
- Return it to Elzari, and the quest is done, you will be able to pick from one of 6 aura's.
You now have your Raid Aura. Congratulations!

Resetting the Quest
It is possible to restart the quest, do it over, and claim a new aura.
To do so:
- Visit Starney the forgotten (+25.5, -127.5) in The Hidden Vale.
- Purchase Gem of Major Memory Blur.
- Turn in the Gem of Major Memory Blur to Elzari the Scholar (+2, -108) in The Hidden Vale.
