Difference between revisions of "Kerani, The Egg Keeper"

Kerani, The Egg Keeper is a pretty straight forward tank and spank, except that Kerani will cast an AoE that states, "the force of Kerani blasts you," which renders you and many random raid members (but not all) immobile for about 20 seconds (there is no visible effect timer). During that time you cannot take any actions and Kerani is free to simply beat on whomever she chooses. Kerani also seems to have a very high resistance to spell and weapon proc damage. Kerani flurries often for about 8000 damage and enrages several times throughout the fight. Kerani has a very high amount of HP and defense, more so than any other boss so far in Nadox, so buff up and be prepared for a long fight.

At the onset of the fight, position your raid right in the very center of the room, facing Kerani, as if coming from the Lithluran room (regardless of how you entered). Kerani is back to a large dragon skull incubator machination that looks like a glowing forge. Everyone should be facing straight at that red glowing incubator on the grey stone path. This will avoid aggroing Vithran and Anthoran when Kerani reaches 50% health. Pop your best defensive discipline you have available before engaging, this will help the main tank survive should your healers become immobilized.

At 50% Vithran, Vaion's Ambomination and Anthoran, Lillu's Ambomination spawn to the left and right of Kerani a short distance away. Vithran to the right of Kerani (when facing) and Anthoran to the left. When Vithran and Anthoran spawn you will be hit by new attacks, Kerani will "crush your bones" with the "power of the Masters," which seems to do a decent hit around 10,000-15,000 damage. After he does this a few times you will see a message that "the energy that Kerani has been storing rip through your flesh and bones," which does about 20,000-25,000 targeted damage to raid members that recently had their "bones crush(ed)" by the "power of the Masters." Kerani also frequently casts an AoE that hits the raid for about 5000-8000 damage. Also, when Vithran and Anthoran spawn, Kerani is buffed in their presence and hits slightly harder but also takes about 50% less damage.
