Gold Explorer's Badge
Explorer's Badge #9
Zone: Tipt, the Treacherous Crags
Recommended: Level 70 group
NOTE: Make sure to have an extra inventory slot available as this quest requires a special contàiner to complete.
Travel through Tipt, until you reach the area containing the Spikedshells. There in the Northeast corner you will find a human necromancer named Jeral Blackheart. He looks like Priest of Discord and shouldn't be hard to miss.
Hail Jeral and follow the quest dialogue after which you will receive a Blood Vial Container.
Head back to the entrance of the zone. I recommended porting back to the Forest and starting from scratch. Something you will have noticed as you travel through Tipt, is that there are only certain NPC types in each section, and conveniently there are eight sections (the same amount as blood vials needed). Unfortunately you will not get the required vials from normal spawns. Instead each area must be cleared to spawn a Blood Enraged version. The spawns are as follows:
Blood Enraged Cragbeast Blood Enraged Hynid Blood Enraged Ukun Blood Enraged Pooka Blood Enraged Spikedshell Blood Enraged Ikaav Blood Enraged Noc Blood Enraged Aneuk
The Blood Enraged spawns are much stronger than their normal counterparts with more HP and heavier hits. Make sure you clear out as many nearby spawns as possible before cleaning out for the Blood spawns.
Travel up the path and clear each community. After you collect all eight samples combine them in the Blood Vial container and return to Jeral.
NOTE: The Riddler's door only opens from one side. Unless you have a spare character with which to keep by Jeral and summon everyone, you will probably have to start at the beginning again.
You say, 'Hail, Jeral Blackhart'
Jeral Blackhart says, You have returned, I can tell you carry all the blood samples I asked for, though I have to admit I have not been completely fair with you in telling you my full intentions.
You say, ' I'm not sure I like where this is going...do continue...'
Jeral Blackhart says, You see that container of blood samples is useless to me. However one final request will explain everything. Keep the blood container and travel north from here until you come to a statue of a tealosian peasant and can go no further.
Cont..
As you may have already noticed the blood stench tends to attract some of the most foul beast. Some say this is only a test and if one was to arrive at the statue with an offering such as that then the Guardian of Inktu`Ta will come forth and judge those worthy of passage into the sacred temple. Regardless of judgement I must gain a sample of it's blood...go now and return to me when you have it's blood.
Head to the farthest end of the path past the bridge with the Kyv. At the end of the valley you will see a statue. As you approach the statue the Inktu'ta Guardian will spawn behind you. Once you have disposed of the dragon, loot the Guardian Dragon Blood, and return to Jeral.
You say, 'Hail, Jeral Blackhart' Jeral Blackhart says, Yes the blood...Give it to me Now!
Jeral Blackhart shouts ' Fool's you have no idea of the power you held within your own grasp...'
You have gained access to the Chapel of Inktu`Ta.
Jeral Blackhart gates out of sight. Explorer May says ' Finally I am free.'
You say, 'Hail, Explorer May' Explorer May says, I can't thank you enough, that evil wizard had me bound and cloaked with his evil magic. All I could do is stand there and watch his betrayal consume you...wait...what's this you're an explorer ? You say, ' Yes I carry the badge with honor.' Explorer May says, This is wonderful if you can hand me your silver explorer's badge along with that smelly container of blood samples, I will dispose of them properly and upgrade your badge in return for your involuntary rescue and then maybe someday we will cross that wizard and give him what he deserves.
Give May your Silver Explorer's Badge and she will give you the Gold Explorer's Badge and an Orange Adventurer's Pouch.
Congratulations you have completed the Gold Explorer's Badge!
