The boss is rooted.
The boss will do a few mechanics depending on the emote warning provided:
~Strike you down~ = he will nuke everyone for roughly 50k.
~Magic / mind~ = he will debuff and do a 100% mana drain to everyone.
~Evade~ = he will stun everyone, pet not included.
This is a tank & spank fight if you can deal with the above mechanics.

HOW TO AVOID THE MECHANICS (NOT REALLY RECOMMENDED):
If you look behind the boss you will notice 3 tables with specific items floating on them. If you click the correct item associated with each emote, you will be mind controlled / enslaved by the boss and his mechanic won't hit you while under the influence of the effect. The problem is, all your pets will despawn when being mind controlled and it is unsure how long the control will last.
