Those vile, bloodthirsty bandits!'The Recondite Bandits made their camp right at the entrance of the tunnel that leads to Shadow Heaven. Foolishly, I thought that camp was set by the people of the Shadow Heaven, an inn for weary travelers or outpost of some sort. Oh, how I was wrong. They beat me up and robbed me! I have barely escaped with my life, but I have lost everything!

You see, I am a researcher from Erudin. I spent the last five years living and doing my work in Shar Vahl and was now on my way to Shadow Heaven. I did't have much, just my personal things, some money, and of course my research journal! It is the most important of all my possessions. Those bloody Recondites took everything! I am totally ruined now! I don't know what I am going to do ... Help me?

The task Alonses requests you go to the nearby recondite camp and retrieve his Stolen Backpack, Stolen Purse, and Stolen Journal.

All three of these items drop randomly off npc's located at the bandit camps.

When you have these, return to Alonses for your reward.
