1st Elite

The first Elite is the wandering Elite. This always drops Elite Vitrik wing but it also drops a broken piece of statue.

Loot the wing and the statue (anyone can loot the statue).

2nd Elite - Statues

There are four different statues, although they all look the same and have the same name. If you can cast the spell identify, cast it on the broken piece (hold it on your cursor and cast the spell). If you cannot cast identify, you can walk back to the entrance of the zone. There is a ground spawn underneath the green tubes from the ceiling in the middle of the entrance hall (loc -14, 159, -52). This is a temporary item called the Architectural Analysis Device. It has a click effect Identify, so you can use this to identify the type of the broken statue.

When you do this, you'll see one of four messages:

  • Three heads are shown
  • Two horns are shown
  • Several lines are shown
  • Rows of teeth are shown

This is a clue as to which statue this piece belongs to. You now need to go to the trophy room, which is the room where Kraxt spawns. Around the edges of the room are statues:

  • A chimera (three heads)
  • A minotaur (two horns)
  • A stone worker (several lines on its body)
  • A bazu (rows of teeth)

Figure out which is the right statue for the broken piece (based on the above) and then put that piece onto your cursor. You then walk up to the correct statue and the broken piece will slot in to where it originally came from. If you chose the wrong statue, four mobs will spawn and attack, so make sure you get it right and be ready just in case!

Once you return the broken piece back, you will see this message: 'You place the broken piece of a statue back into its place and a green light surrounds the fractured edges and then the seams are gone, as if the piece had never broken off…'

And then shortly after: 'You hear a humming and clunking sound emitting from within the walls… The humming rises to a loud roar, it sounds as though machinery has started up nearby…'

2nd Elite - Incubators

You should now move to the next room, which is the incubator room. You'll notice one of the incubators is glowing red. Have your tank step into the red incubator. You'll see a message: 'You hear a harsh buzzing sound!' and a tiny vitrik called a failed experimental elite vitrik will pop and attack the tank. Kill it and then look at the various incubators in the room (there are 10 in total).

One should be green and another should be red. You'll need the tank to step into the green one. At this point, you'll see a message: 'You hear a clear ringing bell!' (if you do it wrong, you'll see the harsh buzzing sound message)

Another, slightly large, failed elite will pop and attack. Once it is dead, the incubators will again change colours. This time there will be two green and one red. You must have two different characters stand in the two green incubators to trigger the next failed elite vitrik.

Do this again one more time, with three green incubators (needing three characters to stand in one each).

Do not stand any character in the red incubators, this will reset the process to the beginning again. To avoid this, always make sure all characters step back out of the incubator after they trigger it.

The final stage of the event you will see four green incubators and ALL OF THE REMAINING 6 INCUBATORS WILL BE RED. You will need four characters to each step into one of the four green incubators to complete this stage.

The incubators reset and change randomly after 20 seconds! So you will need to cooperate quickly and time this stage carefully. If you fail, everyone will be ejected from the incubators, a failed vitrik will spawn and you'll need to try this final stage again (you will not have to do the whole event again, just the final step).

If you successfully complete this stage, you will see a message: 'You hear a loud, clanging gong sound followed by a churning gurgle from somewhere behind, back where you came from. The machines stop whiring and are silent...'

This is your cue to run back to the entrance hall. There, you will see the 2nd Elite Vitrik (not the failed experimental ones). Kill this and loot the 2nd item for the quest: Elite Vitrik talon

This Elite also drops an observatory spyglass. You can trade this to other players so it doesn't matter who loots it, but you will not want your tank to hold it (this will make sense later).

3rd Elite - Observatory

The next stage is the observatory, which is the room Uzur is located in. This room is where Uzur observes the potential battle fields and plans his attacks; the observatory "portals" are the tubes extending up to the ceiling, each with a vision inside. You will first need to clear everything from the room, so kill everything first if you didn't already. Then, make sure to give the spyglass to a character that isn't melee (so a healer or caster or pet class) and have them hold the item on their cursor and stand into the first tube. This is located on the West side of the room, on the left (loc: 842, -108).

This will trigger the observatory event. The character holding the spyglass should see the message: 'As you enter the obversation aperture and look through the spyglass, you begin to make out the hazy outline of something but can't quite make it out...'

You will need at least five characters to complete this event (four to stand in the observatory tubes and a tank, at least). Any less and it won't work. Each character must do the below steps in the correct order.

This character must stand in place for the whole event, holding the spyglass. If they step out of the tube or put the spyglass into their inventory, the event will cancel and reset to the start.

Another character must now step into tube 2. This is the one nearest to tube 1 (on the opposite side of the West end of the room). This character must also remain in place for the whole event, otherwise it'll reset.

A third character must now step into tube 3. This is the one diagonally opposite to tube 2 (loc: 677, -108).

Finally, a fourth character must now step into tube 4. This is the one directly opposite tube 3 (diagonally opposite tube 1) and is at loc: 678, -27.

You should now have four characters stood in four tubes, all surrounding the central tube (where Uzur spawns) like a square. At this point, the 3rd Elite Vitrik will spawn outside of the West entrance. It will start to walk to the central tube and cannot be attacked until it reaches the centre. ALL OF THE FOUR TUBE CHARACTERS MUST REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL THE VITRIK IS DEAD. If they do not, it will depop and the event will start from the beginning again.

Have the tank engage the Elite Vitrik once it reaches the centre of the observatory room. Engage pets and nuke (and if you have a sixth character, they can do what they like).

Once the Vitrik is dead, loot the third quest item: Elite Vitrik beak

4th Elite - Livi's Creation

The 4th and final Elite Vitrik spawns in the fight against Livi (when her hps reach 50%). This one always drops the final item: Elite Vitrik feather
