Koritz the Bridge Keeper

Overview

Koritz is a multi-stage fight, spanning from the entrance of the zone all the way up to his spawn point. Be sure the way is clear and will not be respawning for at least 10 minutes before you engage this fight.

You will begin the fight at the top. Then you'll move to the entrance of the zone, have a few skirmishes along the way up, and then return to the top where you began the fight. This time to finish it.

Koritz and his clones cast an aoe snare/mana drain(Skeleton Plague) that can be very annoying.

Stage 1

Position the raid at the foot of the bridge (may hide healers from or max range his aoe to avoid it). Pull Koritz toward the raid and meet him mid-way with your tank. This stage is very short, but note that Koritz hits very hard. You will dps Koritz down to about 80% and he will despawn, reappearing at the end of the bridge.

Do not be attempt to move to him, he is unreachable and unharmable where he is. Instead look toward the entrance of the zone for his clone.

Stage 2

The Gauntlet of Clones Koritz's first clone has now spawned at the zone in. You have little time to engage him, < 90 seconds, iirc, so you're in a predicament. There are a couple options:

1) Keep someone down by the entrance (about 1/4 up the ramp so you don't get aggro when he spawns) to Call of the Hero a token force down, or 2) Keep a token force down there, ready and waiting, or 3) Use bard speed to run a token force or a CoH caster down there, or 4) Place raid 1/4 way up ramp away from zone in room then use a bard to pull Koritz to zone in room to kill and then be ready for second pop in room

Fortunately, Koritz's clones do not hit as hard as he does. It seems like the number of clones that must be battled up the ramp to the top can vary. Sometimes it is just 2, sometimes it is 4. They all despawn at certain % of health, but note that the last one will spawn 2 Savage Drachnids in its' wake.

These Savage Drachnids are low hp but hit very hard. Dispatch them quickly.

Once they are dead, Koritz will respawn back at the top with a clone by his side. You have a couple minutes to prepare for this stage. Don't feel as rushed as you just were to engage the gauntlet of clones.

Stage 3

Koritz (the real one) and his clone is generally a two-tank scenario, where as one one could pull off the previous stages.

Pull them the same as in stage one, doing your best to have each tank split them so one doesn't get insta-gibbed.

The Real Koritz is indistinguishable from his clone, except that he hits slightly harder.

The Cloned Koritz will poof when his health reaches 64% so start on one and if doesn't poof switch targets and kill the clone.

With the clone dispatched, focus your dps on the remaining real Koritz. Be prepared though because around 30% he will spawn 3 Savage Drachnids to his side. They hit very hard, and it is recommended to have your 2nd tank pick them up asap. Burn down the Savage Drachnids, and then return to Koritz to finish the event note he will also cheal once.
