Visath the Frightened

Overview

This is a story event and requires the Grand Hall key to enter the room. Talk to the npc to begin the story. It's a scary story - he's frightened.

Position your raid to accommodate knockback for chapter 1 of the story. You will deal with waves of mobs, then a big orc momma, and while you fight her some gargoyles. Kill all of these to proceed to chapter 2.

Again you will deal with waves of mobs, a big werewolf daddy, and while you fight him some more gargoyles. More of the same, here.

Chapter 1

The Orc Mother is invulnerable and inactive at the start. She will, during this time, spawn three waves of adds that you must dispatch in a timely manner. Go too slowly and they will pile up. You have a couple minutes to clear all of the mobs in these waves. They do not hit hard - this part is about keeping them in check.

Depending upon your raid's dps, you may have nothing to do after the last wave. The Orc Mother will become active 5 minutes after beginning the event. If you were too slow on the waves of adds, you will now have a large, ornery orc mother to contend with on top of the mobs you already have. She gives no warning when she goes active, so have your tank ready and autoattacking before she gets the jump on your raid.

While you dps her down and deal with her aoe knockback, be prepared for 2 gargoyles to spawn. They will attempt to kill Visath, so intercept and kill them before they can do so, keep in mind they mem wipe.

Chapter 2

The Orc Mother is dead, now it is time for the Father.

Just like before, waves of adds will spawn. After the 5 minute waves timer is up, Father will unlock. No aoe knockback this time, but there will be long stuns, and he hits considerably harder than she did. Have your tank defensive disc'd before he unlocks. You will likely wipe if it's not running, because the first thing the Father does is stun.

Again gargoyles will attempt to kill Visath. Stop them, kill the Fater, and win.

The story is now over, and Visath lives.
