Access to Halls of Honor

Overview

There are 2 ways to access Halls of Honor.

Methods

Method 1: A quest which is below.

Method 2: Get a Corrupted Token of Honor through the community either by gift or purchase. Turn the Corrupted Token of Honor in to Tunare in Plane of Growth and she will grant you access to Halls of Honor.

Warning!

If you are already T8 flagged, then you are no longer eligible to complete this quest. It can still be in your quest log when you are T8 flagged, but don't be fooled. Trying to do the quest in hopes to be able to spawn the Reaper of Mortality for others will do nothing but waste your time. You have been warned...

Quest: Frozen Mortality - Tier 8 Access

This is a multi-zone quest for Tier 8 Access requiring components from Tiers 3 through 7.

• Prerequisites:

DSK Tier 2 access

Speak with Messenger of Lord Drizku (in the Grove or in the Guild Hall) and accept the Frozen Mortality quest from him.

Each step will need to be completed in order (i.e. you must loot sparkling/gyrating/vibrant fire essences before moving on to sleeprs). Although these items are tradable, you have to be the one actually looting it to get quest credit and progress. Each item looted will only give credit to the looter.

Step 1 - Doomfire, the Burning Lands

You must loot Sparkling, Gyrating, and Vibrant Essences of Fire.

These essences drop from only these mobs

Step 2 - Sleepers Tomb

You must loot Sparkling, Gyrating, and Vibrant Essences of Water.

These essences drop from only these mobs

Step 3 - Eryslai, the Kingdom of Wind

You must loot Sparkling, Gyrating, and Vibrant Essences of Air.

These essences drop from only these mobs

Step 4 - Plane of Fear

You must loot Sparkling, Gyrating, and Vibrant Essences of Earth.

These essences drop from only these mobs

Step 5 - Tradeskills

Now that you have collected all of the essences, it is time to combine them with tradeskills. This does not have to be done by you. You may trade your essences for someone else to combine, or just outright buy the pure essences from someone else. If you get the tradeskill mastery AA's under the Omens tab, you will have a 50% chance of succeeding regardless of your tradeskill level.

• Pure Essence of Fire blacksmithing
• Pure Essence of Water jewelry making
• Pure Essence of Air tailoring
• Pure Essence of Earth baking

Step 6 - The Letter

Return to Messenger of Lord Drizku with all 4 Pure Essences. Giving them to him will return a letter to your hands. This letter goes to Herox, the Diviner in South Karana. He is on a 4-8 hour respawn timer

Speak with Herox, the Diviner and receive a stone.

He tells you to turn the stone in to the statue, but doing so will trigger the Reaper of Mortality to spawn, so do not do so until you are ready to fight.

Given that you've worked so hard for this little stone and it disappears when you give it to the statue - fret not. If you fail the fight, you are now flagged to hail Herox, the Diviner and receive another stone for unlimited attempts. You are ineligible to receive more stones once you have beaten the Reaper of Mortality.

Step 7 - The Reaper of Mortality

This fight starts out with the reaper being spawned nearby. He is permarooted, so make sure melee characters are at max attack range.

At around 75-80%, everyone in melee range must go outside melee range, and everyone outside melee range must go inside melee range. Everyone that doesn't will be death touched. Each player that dies will regenerate his health 6%.

At 69%, this is a tank and spank with one exception -- every time the message pops up that he grasps for your throat, you must be ducked or be DT'd. Again, players who die will regenerate his health.

At 29% it becomes a pure tank and spank down to 10%.

At 10%, everyone moves into melee range, or will get a very powerful dot that turns them into a shadow illusion.

The one who finished the quest will get an automatic Fragment of Mortality (this player must be on the hate list, and thus alive, when the Reaper dies to receive it), and there will be 5 more on his corpse. This can be turned in to the Messenger to Lord Drizku in the forest -- the character turning in need not have started the quest, he just has to have Tier 2 access of T7.

Step 8 - Fragment of Mortality

Return to Messenger of Lord Drizku and hand him Fragment of Mortality.

Messenger of Lord Drizku says, 'You have done well, [name]. Now stand back as I open a portal that will take you to our temple.'

Messenger of Lord Drizku says, 'If you are [ready], I can take you to the Djinn Temple.'
